Qualification Course Summary

This course gives our students with the essential skills and techniques to prepare, style and finish a selection of dog breeds. This is a great foundation qualification for students to start in the dog grooming world and to continue to build on their knowledge and styling skills. 

Over the course of 15 days practical training, students will groom a minimum of 10 grooms, 5 breeds covering 4 coat types. You will learn health checking, prep work, how to prepare the coat with the correct techniques for bathing and drying, before moving on to complete some basic grooming styles. 

This is an Ofqual regulated qualification which includes a theory and practical element. There are no exams in this qualification, but your work is assessed by your teacher in order for you to pass the course.

We ask students to be ready to learn from 9.15am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

We love to meet students dogs and are happy for them to come along to be used as a dog model.  However, we have found that they can sometimes prove a distraction and would recommend them not attending on days they are not being groomed.
